The Melbourne Press Club’s Australian Media Hall of Fame

Mary Grant Bruce was one of the first people to be inducted into the Australian Media Hall of Fame when it was created.  Clicking on this link will enable you to read her induction citation and also to view an interesting video about her.

Another of the first inductees was the son of one of Mary Grant Bruce’s  cousins: the great World War II war correspondent Chester Wilmot, of whom she was particularly fond.  He reported from the Front in North Africa for the Australian Broadcasting Commission, and later he covered the Normandy Landings for the British Broadcasting Commission.
